Security Security Security!
We take security very seriously. Substantial measures were taken in developing this application to make sensitive information secure. All of the data contained in the “Noodle Nerds” applications were written in PHP driving a highly secure SQL database that stores all of the sensitive information. Each site has its own separate fully independent database!
Site Customization (Home Page, Announcements, Site Info, Staff, Links, etc.)
These pages are totally configurable. You're only limited by your imagination. Using the built-in graphical editor makes designing any of these pages easy. If you can use document editing tools such as Microsoft word you can easily master this editor. If you have web page design experience you also have the option to edit the html source code directly. Once you're logged in as the Web Designer or Board of Director (BOD), there is a web page setup section that allows you to customize the home page, links, staff, site info and contacts page. You can even design your own header or use one of the samples included. Also included are sample themes for your selection.
Unlimited Staff Logins
A username/password combination is required to access the Noodle Nerds HOA sites. This method safeguards all the content sensitive data including resident phone numbers and other sensitive information from unauthorized viewing. As a user with the admin permissions, you will be able to create as many user accounts as you'd like. Your site will receive a master login, with Web Designer privileges. By using this login, you can create user accounts and set permissions as needed.
Registration
As a Web Designer or BOD, the only thing easier then adding Residents and other board member information to your web site database through the "User Profile" section, is having users add the information themselves. When a new user registers using the Online Registration form, a email will be sent to the Web Designer informing you that a new user wants to access the site. The Web Designer simply sets the appropriate privilege level (Web-Designer, Board-Member, Photographer or Resident) which will then notify the user that their account has been activated and ready for their use. Until the Web-Designer has approved the new user request, that user will only be able to access the public pages of your site with guest level privileges.
Viewing Privileges:
The “HOA Noodle Nerds” section has six viewing level privileges.
- Web-Designer or Board-Member. This is the highest privilege level. The Web-Designer has the ability to control every facet of the web site. Including things like scheduling, Photo Album, Bio's, Expenses, Board Member Listings, User info, F.A.Q, etc...
- Photographer. The Photographer permission level is the same as the Resident only with the additional permission to manage the Photo Albums (including uploading photos etc)
- Resident. This permission level is geared towards viewing Resident type information of the site.
- Guest. This is the lowest privilege level. Guest level has "view only" access to a very limited area of the "HOA Noodle Nerds" section of your site. They can view the public area of your site only.
Announcements
This page can be used to log those important events or issues that can be accessed quickly. No login is needed for your Residents or guests to access this area. Post your message on the Announcement page with the option to send it as email, too. This is a alternative way to relate information that isn't time critical.
Pet Registry
This page can be used to put your pet information on your local HOA site. Thus, if you pet goes missing for any reason you can contact your local Web-Designer or Board-Member to send out a quick email or SMS with a link that will take them back to your HOA site with a picture, pet name, contact information and all the details necessary to get your pet back safe and sound.
Committee Management System
Manage your committees with this easy to use committee assignment tool. The leader of each committee has full control of adding and deleting Resident volunteers for their assigned committee. By creating these committees it makes it very easy to use this application to send emails to all committee members through the built-in email and SMS system.
Automatic "Resident & Board Member Notification" system
When a Residents register on the site they have the ability to add their email address along with their preferred SMS number (most all cell phones support SMS text messaging). They can configure their profile to chose whether they would like to be notified by email, SMS or both. When a web-designer, board-member or committee leader selects "SMS Notification" or "Email Notification" within your “Noodle Nerds HOA Site” and types a message, these updates to the web site will automatically be sent to notify all the residents who opted to receive the information. For example, a meeting cancellation is made at the last minute. This information can be sent directly to the residents or committee member cell phone to notify them of the change. The SMS option is extremely useful, since many residents are busy running errands and do not have access to a computer to check email or website.
Note: SMS is basically a form of text messaging to a cell phone with a 160 char limitation.
Resident Contact Information
Within the “User Profile” area of your Noodle Nerds HOA Site, the registrant has the ability to select “Allow contact information to be viewed by other residnents” which will allow the other residents within your association to view any other resident which has selected this same option.
Articles News Pages
Articles and write-ups that are specific to the association will appear on this page. There are three levels of viewing privileges for these Articles;
(1) Board-Members only
(2) Board-Members and Residents only
(3) Everyone (including guests)
Articles become a very powerful tool for communicating with your members. This tool can be used to add a printable registration form, manage minutes from a meeting, and communicate information about an upcoming events, all done through posting an article.
Articles/Resident News Archives
The leaders have the ability to set any of the out of date articles to "Archive" which simply moves the article to a archive section of which only the leaders can see. Through this feature, important articles are still accessible, but not taking up valuable space on the main viewing page of your site.

Complete Schedule Management
Noodle Nerds HOA Sites manage schedules with everyone in mind; whether it’s a board member looking to schedule a board meeting or looking to plan a block party. As soon as you add an event type they will appear in drop-downs when you go to add an event. Add meeting or a BBQ party without typing a single character!
Locations
This section keeps track of all your various locations, such as meeting locations, conference centers, etc.. When the addresses of these locations are added, your HOA site will automatically generate a "Google Map" linkage. Additionally, you can add these locations directly into your calendar entries from a pull down window then as a user selects this event they simply select the location link and they can add there starting address and get a full set of directions including estimated travel time.
Graphical Ads for Your Sponsors
Whether you're looking to spotlight current sponsors, attract new sponsors, or sell advertisement space on your site, Noodle Nerds HOA Sites puts you in control. You have the ability to add advertising to your site and control the location of where and how the sponsors ad will be displayed. With such features as embedded Flash demos, video clips, and YouTube videos directly into your new web site.
Pictures/Photo Gallery
Enhance your site, thrill your residents, and build interest in your web site by posting pictures in this easy to use photo gallery with automatic thumbnail conversion. There is a special privilege level called "photographer". Assigning this privilege level will allow that person the ability to upload and edit photos. Of course, as a board-member or web designer , you also have this ability.
Board Member List
This area is where each board member will be displayed along with their photograph.

Easy to use Frequently Asked Question database which is viewable by all residents and guests.
Poll
You want to know what your community things about the new landscape or want to get the pulse of what residents are thinking what better way as to create you own Resident Poll. It doesn't get any easier to manage polls than the built in polling system built within your new Noodle Nerds HOA web site.
Graphical Editor
The Web-Designer or the Board-Member privilege level has the ability to add content to all internal as well as public sections of your site by means of a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor. No web page development experience needed.
